Secrets of Business Success

With predictions of recession constantly in the news and long established firms failing, how about coming to hear inspiring stories about success instead?

There are two great opportunities coming up.  The first of these is Ladies that Lunch on Tuesday 23rd September, when our speaker is Sarah Steel. Sarah started The Old Station Nursery in 2002 when she was looking for good quality childcare for her own children.  Since then she has expanded and now runs 12 Day Nurseries and Out of School Clubs in Oxfordshire, Wiltshire, Rutland, Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire and Yorkshire.  Sarah will be sharing her secrets on running and growing a very successful business. Do come along by booking online or contacting me direct on lesley@lesleyreader.co.uk

And the following day (Wednesday 24th September), come and hear Leila Wilcox, founder of Halos N Horns and winner of Channel 4s Make Me a Million, together with the launch of Mission Growth in Oxfordshire. (See details below).

Building a Winning Business with Leila Wilcox, Halos N Horns

on Wednesday 24th September

Come along to the Sudbury House Hotel in Faringdon on 24th September from 6:30-9:30pm to hear Leila Wilcox, Winner of Channel 4's Make Me a Million and founder of Halos N Horns.

Leila founded award-winning children's toiletries range Halos n Horns in August 2005 and annual turnover was £9.7M for the first year.  Her range which was developed using none of the harmful chemicals linked to eczema, asthma and contact dematitis is now stocked in Waitrose, Sainsbury's, Tesco, Morrisons and Asda.  Leila recently sold Halos n Horns and has branched out in a totally new market – Medical Tourism.

This was prompted by a personal need, seeing the poor state of UK hospitals, waiting times and MRSA and being amazed by foreign hospitals, she decided to have treatment abroad….only there was no travel policy available. Her new business, Angelis Insurance launches shortly and is the first insurance for this market.

Leila will talk about her business journey from start up to rapid growth internationally and then the sale of the business and into another venture..

This event will also be the launch of MIssion Growth in Oxfordshire.  Mission Growth helps women owners of growing businesses to learn, share and support each other to achieve business and personal success.  Sue Stockdale, founder of Mission Possible will talk about Mission Growth and how it benefits growing businesses.

With only a few places left, tickets for the event are £30+VAT, which includes buffet and refreshments.  To book your place, click here or contact 01367 244855 or growth@missionpossible.co.uk .

The World's First Global Ball

Saturday 8th November

The Grosvenor House Hotel in London is the venue for the World's First Global Ball. One Ball, around the world, on One Day, for One Cause.

This ball is starting in Auckland, New Zealand and travelling West with the clocks through Singapore and Cape Town South Africa, until it reaches its climax in London. All the way it will be bringing people together and raising money for The Hunger Project in India (empowering a million grassroots women into local government and as key change agents for development), which is also Ladies that Lunch chosen charity.

To be a part of this historic event and purchase your tickets, visit the following link. For this week only there is a payment option available saving you 10% on the normal ticket price of £200.  If you wish to take this up then email hattie@extraordinaryballs.com with your name and phone number and Payment Plan in the subject line.
